OMEA District II Jr. Division Choral Festival

OMEA District II Jr. Division Choral Festival

Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010

Parkrose High School, 12003 Northeast Shaver Street

Registration Form

The OMEA District II Junior Division Choir Festival will be on Wednesday, March 3rd at Parkrose High School, 12003 NE Shaver St., Portland, OR.

This event is an excellent opportunity for area middle schools and junior high ensembles to perform for evaluation and to grow from hearing a number of other groups perform. Please return your registration form with payment as soon as possible.

The event will include 2 judges providing written comments about your group’s performance and 1 judge will work with your group after its performance.

It is important that you give your students the opportunity to hear a few other groups but it is strongly suggested that you do not stay the entire day and that you stay with your choir at all times. You are responsible for the behavior of your students. Please remind them about appropriate audience behavior.

The registration fee for this event will be $100.00 per choir and we ask that only 1 choir per school enter. If there is room in our schedule, I will enter additional groups from your school on a “first-come first-served” basis.

Please make your checks payable to OMEA District II and enclose it with your registration form.

Registration is due Feb. 3rd. Mail form and payment to:

Helen Deitz – fest. Chair

Clear Creek Middle School

219 NE 219th

Gresham, OR 97030

You will receive times and other additional information regarding the festival by Feb. 19th.

Sincerely,

Clarification on All State Notification

There seems to have been a glitch in the notification email that was sent out to you regarding your accepted students. Apparently the list of your students was sent to you with a NO or N/A and not being specific as to who was accepted. PLEASE check the OMEA home page to find the listing of your accepted students. The list on the OMEA website is the CURRENT LIST. Email me if you have questions. The music has arrived and the envelopes are being stuffed. Once I have been notified that all of your students have submited paperwork and payment, I will send you the music.

Be sure to have all paperwork and payments in to OMEA by November 20 at the latest. If not, your students will be removed from the list and an alternate will be selected. NO EXCEPTIONS.
